Introducing Technon® Pure

DISCONTINUED

Tungsten Heavy Powder's research and development team have recently developed Technon® Pure, the virgin replacement powder for the pressing and sintering of Tungsten / Nickel / Iron parts. This new powder contains 90% W, 6% Ni, and 4% Fe and has less than 30 ppm of other metals.

Unlike our other powders, the particles of Technon® Pure are not spheroidal, and are less than 5 microns in size. That makes this powder the ideal alternative to virgin tungsten powder. Technon® Pure powder offers a 15-20% savings and is manufactured in the U.S.A. by recycling heavy tungsten alloy.

Tungsten Tableting

(not for consumption)

By simply pressing any of our three grades of Technon® powder with a binding agent, we can now achieve densities of 15 g/cc! No heating required!

There has never been a more economical, flexible, and versatile method to attain such high density. The process is suitable for most applications where added weight is the objective.

Consider that by sintering tungsten component a typical density of 17g/cc is achieved. Such relatively small-added density is far less economical considering the sintering costs as well as the additional costs for machining, fitting, and attaching the sintered part.

This method will enable you to manufacture a high-density item in your factory without any additional capital investment!
