Frequently Asked Questions
- What makes your tungsten powder so unique?
A combination of the especially high density and
spheroidal shape of the tungsten offer a set of unique properties. When mixed with polymers,
the new material offers no separation at the point of high shear. It also has a higher
critical solid loading. Our tungsten powder also has a good mechanical flow characteristic for better cavity filling.
What makes your tungsten powder heavier than virgin tungsten powder?
Since we use sintered tungsten scrap, the powder's particles are post-sintered. This results in our powder's heavier atomic structure.

background information and a brief history of Tungsten.
Why don't you buy Tungsten Carbide scrap?
Our recycling and recovery process is currently not
configured for Tungsten Carbide.
Why should I use Tungsten instead of Lead?
Unlike lead, tungsten is non-toxic. Lead, as a
practical alloy, has a density of 10.5 gram/cc. Tungsten heavy powder is heavier at 12
gram/cc.
Will you recycle my scrap for me?
Yes. Prices are available on request.
What percent of my scrap weight will I lose during the process?
That depends on the type of tungsten alloy. Usually,
the range is between 5% and 10%.
